Boo...ya...!!!

She stared at the earth in her hands.

She watched the little beetle crawl across one of the pebbles.

She through the lot up in the air.

The dirt, pebbles and beetle exploded in a flash of light, sparks and debris.

She had witnessed the fireworks.

She had accomplished what she had been trying for nine. Whole. Months. to do.

She couldn’t help but smile.
