I’d love to feel the heat, the sunrise, brushing rays across my windshield as if one dries the streams from off my face.
Yet I know you’ll be there cause you’ll know I’ll want you to be there and we’ll say hello: as you’re smiling in love and we’ll sigh so relieved I believe because we will both know by tonight.. we’ll feel normal again
but until then;;
Why do things always seem to work out so perfectly in songs? You try to ignore the piece, but then the blasted artist has just got to write a really awesome, memory-printing score to go along with it.

The fog settled on the house as if a cloud had hunkered down over the area, wrapping its solid, dank arms around the inhabitants.
She sat on a bench at the window, staring out into a sheet of white, impenetrable as looking through a piece of paper. She heard soft footsteps on the hardwood draw nearer as they came into the room. They paused by the arched doorway and a soft drum and guitar melody ran through the room. In time with the rhythm, the footsteps started up again.
She blinked before turning her head and with a smile on his face, saw him coming towards her. He shimmied her way, motioning softly for her to join him in the cleared space in the middle of the room. With a giggle, he surprised her and started to dance much faster, whisking her into a rapid step, guiding her gently as she laughed in his arms. They kept swaying and twirling and moving in time, memories both being imprinted with the beauty of the occasion.
The music slowed again. He stopped and kept her with him. She was looking at his chest, closed her eyes, tilted her head up and met his firery blue gaze.
His long, brown eyelashes brushed his cheekbones as he blinked, coming closer and closer and softly kissed her nose. She reopened her eyes. And met his lips.
Until then… She was home.
