Encounter
You forget the importance of association.
You forget the relief and comfort of touch.
Sitting here beside you is a bit of a relief; if your arm had slipped from the back of the bench to around my shoulders, I wouldn’t have minded. I would probably have slipped into the nook your body would make, trying to draw as much warmth as I could.
You are temperate. You are comfortable. You are — oddly familiar.
New beginnings? Potential sensation.
