Encounter

You forget the importance of association.

You forget the relief and comfort of touch.

Sitting here beside you is a bit of a relief; if your arm had slipped from the back of the bench to around my shoulders, I wouldn’t have minded. I would probably have slipped into the nook your body would make, trying to draw as much warmth as I could.

You are temperate. You are comfortable. You are — oddly familiar.

New beginnings? Potential sensation.
