Past the Sunlight

It fell. All the heat of the surrounding day, lifted it from the ground and that flat pool of light and water, caressing it and molding it as it soared above the treetops. It moved, squirmed and flew ever changing, always the same; clear. Serene. Blue

As it got higher, it's surroundings got cooler, more frigid and crisp. It was like a quick breath of ice buffeting it about, but it continued to fly. Higher and higher and higher.

It approached a wall of stormy cloud, meancing and foreboding as it loomed up ahead. It quivered ever so slightly but continued to venture towards it. It was sucked in. It was churned around and around. Screaming noise and painful flashes pulsated around it, frightening and intimidating the weak of heart. once such bolt shot through it and a remarkable change flashed around. It was alive. It had sparked. It had become a part of a bigger picture, one which would benefit those around it. This was something new and something different. Exciting. Fresh.

It was also time.

It fell. With a final crashing boom it exploded from the cloud.

It fell. It rediscovered the icy air buffeting it.

It fell. It was free of the cloud, soaring towards earth.

It fell. It was trapped in a swirling eddy of air, being pushed around, pumping into others.

It fell. The ground was looming ever larger.

It fell. It was coming up much too fast.

It fell.

Crash.
