Because I reply- that's what I do
It's funny, innit? How when you feel you feel worst, when you are absolutely sitting at rock bottom that you cry out the loudest? You scream and shriek, racking your fingernails across your face living gashes along your skin to visibly display your utter anguish?
He hears, you know.
He knows exactly about your absolute pain. Can see those lacerations that once covered your skin; it is in tatters... ribbons that mock the once complete epidermis that he has situated to house your internal and vital organs. And being half covered, nearly naked in less than your skin, you are weak.
Yes. You are so broken, so destitute that you may think it useless to continue in hope, in joy in anything but sadness and desolate existence.
Before you continue to read, may I interject those past few sentences? May I proceed to tell you that there is worth in everything?
First off, I am thankful that you are weak. I am, because if there was no one who was weak, who would be able to distinguish who is strong? That may sound like I know who is strong- but ultimately no one is so strong that they can't be considered weak in some ways. No one is perfectly solid in every thing that they are faced with. Second off, I am certain that no matter what happens, you are used- particularly with your weakness -to show the goodness of love and grace to those around you. You are a conduit for hope to flow through. Hope does not need a whole and complete individual to spread from because if you had nothing to worry about, nothing to shriek and cry out about, you would have no reason to seek help from anyone. You would have no need for Christ. Third, being destroyed makes you human. We are a beautiful part of an oath in which we are taken from dirt and moved to subjects of a kingdom so valuable that angels rejoice when we become open to the love.
I can honestly say that you are who you are today because of the brokenness that you have had to experience in your life. Things may be garbage some days, but you need to relinquish your agony to the one who took part of the blood oath for you.
You cannot expect someone to flick on a switch and suddenly everything is good and right.
He uses the weak to lead the strong. You will lead, just take charge, don't let the enemy in and enjoy being broken for when we are ruined we are closest to the ultimate champion.
