Thanks Giving.
We, living in a first world country, are selfish people. We take things for granted and never really take a moment to regard the larger scale of life and blessings to truly thank God for them. I want to look at a very small amount of the things in my life I am thankful for.
- my relationship with Jesus. He has gotten me through more crap than I could even begin to list
- my heritage. Being english is awesome; that pretty much sums things up, but I also have a really sweet potential to connect with muslims because of my quarter heritage/frustrating last name.
- my mother-- when she laughs, it is with her whole being. She is such an example to live by example
- my thick hair. I know this is shallow, but being bald or have remarkably thinning hair would make me sad, especially being female.
- the Stamps. Endless hours of fascinating skill and entertainment, however could do without the outriders
- the french language. the beauty of understanding a language that is not your vernacular is rather exciting
- my faith in the one who keeps me going
- my bed. Though sleeping on the floor is not so bad of a thing (can be really good for the back) it is nice to curl against the window and watch the planes race each other across the skies
- my education
- the Big Bang Theory
- my bible that is riddled with underlined stuff because the notes in there are such a wonderful 'bring-me-down-to-earth'.
- my travel experience- would not be the same person that I am today.
- my literacy
- music and everything in my life that encompasses it
- my posters in my room
- my friends: I shall initial (in following suit): BP, GH, DP, SH, AF, ES, AM, ML, CH, MM, LH, TJ, JC, AD... the list is rather extensive but I love you all.
- my family. They are a guiding force for certain and definitely a blessing.
- my freedom
- my career path- aid to those who cannot help themselves is a sigh of relief
- my allowance to go to church
- my love of writing and a site in which to keep my thoughts organized upon
- my ridiculous bookshelf with the ridiculous books jam-packed inside of it
- my ridiculous cdshelf with the ridiculous cds jam-packed inside of it
- my love of games
- the rain. the sun. the mountains
- my ability to run, cycle, swim, play badminton and catch flying discs that hurtle themselves at my head
- my slowly filling picture frames
- hugs
- Peanut's comic strips
- My aunt Jane. You are one of the most amazing individuals I can say I have ever met.
- Pumpkin pie.
- my piano
- Shakespeare
- the spirit alive in me
- running, hot water
- grace
- love and joy
- skype to stay in contact with UK project friends
- goals
- Plunge week- C4C for keeping me rooted in my faith
- clothes
- my down comforter, my fluffy socks and my gargantuan BCIT hoodie that could fit 5 of me into
- tea
- trifle, banoffee pie, sticky toffee pudding, strawberry shortcake, chocolate moose, blizzards, dessert in general
- cupcakes
- fruit
- the One who never gets sick of my crying, faultiness, pain, stupidity and laziness. He made me new, stood me up and gave me the support system that could be considered my personal infantry to keep me from harm. You know who you are. He is good.
I could go on for hours and hours but that would be both remarkably boring as well as tedious to type. He is too good to us, and for that I praise him.
