The Real Meaning.
I flat out love Christmas. It's such an awesome time of year when you get to hang out with the people you love with all the crazy albeit beautiful decorations and just think for a moment about the remarkable passion that God has placed in our lives by imparting his own passion there first.
Though it's a little strange watching how everything has changed through the years. For the past 15-ish of my life, I have noticed that Christmas has gone from being about Jesus who was born, to being related to Jesus who was born, to being not even on the same horizon.
You see copious amounts of Santa Claus', reindeer, daft little trees and woollen socks, hats and sweaters but don't really get to see many people going for the actual legitimate reason for Christmas.
That is why I love Linus and his blanket.
The following is my favourite Christmas movie partially because of the 'sad little tree' that seems to define so much of who Charlie Brown is (sorry, love!), but it also is such a great visual that everyone has ventured from the reality of truth and are now all about the flashy lights and biggest gifts and most profound Christmas pudding.
Why can't we just say it like it is?
