Making Lists of Things to Hold Dear
I think I agree entirely with Grissom... but I have to add a 4th:
Things to loathe:
1. Men who hit their wives
2. People who abuse children
3. Dealers who sell drugs to kids
4. Men who prey and rape women
They never said it was going to be easy. They never said that things would always be a walk in the park with only minimal scarring. There are some sick, horrible people out there and we get to see what they are capable of.
Yet I see the quadriplegic who was hit by the car go through physio and start to walk again and things look up and you are reminded of how you can be a blessing.
Though you will never forget the look on her face.
