Overview

Night shift really teaches you a lot- first off, how to become best friends with your body so you can tell it when to sleep. I am fortunate. I seemed to have mastered this to some degree.

But when you're strolling the halls on the unit at half three in the morning, you really have nothing to do but set yourself up for some personal and mental games... not the horrible psychological thriller/mind-wanderings (because sometimes this just happens on it's own: you don't need to actively plan for it to occur) that seem to take over in movies and in the distressed.

No these games are things such as: 'Work your way through the alphabet humming one song in entirety per title per letter (And if you mess up the song, start from the beginning), Test yourself from class: see if you can remember the important points in artistic film or what the steps are to do a sterile dressing change, or even Prayer Jumping.

I just came up with that name right now... Prayer Jumping... sounds a lot more drastic and daring than it really is, but then again, so are most things at that time.

Going through the people you know and praying about something for each of them. A good way to cover basis and find something to do which is a blessing and at the same time, it makes you feel like you are helping people on mission's projects if you're unable to help financially. God has blessed me with that at least.

So many stories and things to be learned though. Come ask me some time-
